Well, forget about retiring as an affiliate for poker sites.  A friend of mine sent me this email from one of the biggest poker affiliates on the web.

What does this mean for you as our affiliates?
US customers will no longer be able to play for Real Money at any of our gambling sites. As such, there will be no revenue shares paid out to new or existing players within the US and no Cost Per Acquisition paid out to any new US players. You can still continue to promote to non US-based customers and even if you are a US affiliate, the law applies to customers in the US and not affiliates.

What will happen to affiliate earnings?
Your payouts up until October 16 have been paid out as usual. From now on, you will be paid out for all future non-US players only with your usual revenue share or CPA.

What does this mean for the future?
As a PokerAffiliate.com we encourage you to explore the huge potential in continuing to promote our brands to the non-US market. We have been working for some time to broaden market exposure and we have managed to increase the non US customer base significantly with the help of our partners. PokerAffiliate.com have worked with the brands we promote to ensure that we already have strong markets in key regions throughout the world, and we will now work even harder to promote other regions and focus on new and emerging markets.
